Visualize the Order Book with Market Depth Map
NinjaTrader’s Order Flow + Market Depth Map helps traders detect supply & demand levels by plotting order book data directly on the chart. Through a chronological display of market depth behind price bars, order flow traders can watch the limit order book unfold in real time highlighting significant price levels such as support and resistance.

Watch Support & Resistance Emerge on a Chart
The Market Depth Map plots the progression of the order book in real-time. As time elapses, historical market depth can be seen in addition to incoming order book data. Current market depth can be seen in the area to the right of the current price bar. Information appearing above the current price is ask depth and below the current price is bid depth.
As more time elapses, more market depth can be seen.
Please note: Once disconnected from a live data feed, historical market depth information will be removed from your charts. Additionally, historical Market Depth Map data will not transfer when duplicating a chart.
Customize Market Depth Map
To enhance your view of market depth, personalize the Market Depth Map to your preferences. Choose the colors and opacity settings which best catch your eye and help identify supply and demand on a chart.
As the order book appears on your chart, a story of bidders and sellers develops. This can help traders identify price levels which may act as support or resistance in the future.
In the chart above, a Market Depth Map has been applied to E-mini S&P 500 futures (ES) on a 30-second timeframe. As the order book data progresses, price levels which could act as future support or resistance begin to stand out.
